James A. was born July 25, 1937 to James L. and Mable A. at a hospital in Macon County Illinois. His father was a Mechanic at a local Chevrolet Dealership and his mother was a stayed at home with the kids. He grew up in Illinois. Jim has 2 brothers Ray and Lee and 1 sister Dorothy. When he graduated high school, Jim went into the Air Force. He was stationed in California for 4 years. After he got out of the Air Force, Jim was a Police Officer for 20 years. Jim met his wife Nancy in Louisville Kentucky. They got married at a Court House on Dixie Highway in 1979. Jim and Nancy do not have any children together, but Nancy had 3 girls Tina, Laura and Neala that he loves dearly and treats just like his own. They have 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He enjoys talking to people, watching tv, and playing bingo. Jim says the changes in the world are terrible. He says that the secret to a happy life is to count your blessings and pray every day.
